According to a study entitled “The Future of Jobs Report 2020 , creativity competences, along with originality and initiative, are increasingly taken into account in employees, even placing themselves ahead of leadership or programming.

In order to promote the culture of creativity, we propose some practices that can be applied in companies, projects, or any organization where you work as a team:

  1. Allocate part of the day to innovation: trust, flexibility, and autonomy are some of the factors that characterize the culture of creativity and on which work policies are based that allocate part of the working day to the development of innovative projects that can be applied to the company, outside of what could be considered his job.
  2. Set delivery times: Keep in mind that creativity requires longer times than other types of work. It is difficult to know when a good idea is going to come up or that it will never arrive. For this reason, it is important to create meaningful deadlines, t accelerate creativity by involving the team.
  3. Create a space in the company whose function is to promote creative innovation.
  4. Periodic workshops and brainstorming. The regular development of activities that promote creativity and innovation, such as workshops on creative techniques, encourages this culture in the workforce in a transversal way, even if they are not held for specific projects or proposals.
  5. Bet on different profiles in templates and workgroups. Heterogeneous teams provide broader views of the same reality, so they are more likely to generate alternative ideas.
  6. Offer personalized training. One of the best ways that a company does not stagnate in innovation is to offer courses that allow employees to know and expand the knowledge of their work area or develop creative thinking techniques, in addition to this, internal talent is encouraged.
  7. Give incentives or prizes for innovation. Recognizing a good job, especially when it is an addition and not a requirement, as is often the case with the most innovative proposals, is one of the best ways to encourage employees to be creative and go further.
  8. Organize new experiences. Small changes are important to drive thinking. Organizing different personal and professional experiences will help workers to oxygenate their minds and enrich their spirits. Small changes are enough to turn our way of working around and start being more creative.

At CreatEU we consider that it is worth promoting creative culture since it values internal talent and facilitates the creation of new ideas that are translated into alternative solutions to those applied so far.
